Dear Mustang parent:
As you are aware, it won’t be long before the 2015-2016 wrestling season is underway. As coaches, we look forward working with your son and having and having another successful season. We wanted to touch base with everyone now in order to make sure you are fully prepared when the season starts November 9th. Here is a list of important dates and events to prepare for…
First, if you are interested in raising money to cover any fees for your son associated with the upcoming season, we have a great fundraising opportunity for you! Starting right away, we have made a deal with the Maverick Center to work events throughout the Salt Lake valley and the money you and your family members earn can be used to pay for participation fees, spirit pack, travel, etc.. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, you must be 18 years or older and willing to work security at concerts, college football games, outdoor shows, etc.. The work responsibilities will include ushering or checking coolers or bags during the event. The Maverick Center will pay 10 dollars per hour of which 15 percent( $1.50 ) per hour will be donated to the wrestling program and 85 percent or( $8.50) per hour will go toward your sons expenses! For example, if you and four relatives work 8 hours each, you will have earned $340 for your son and $60 for the wrestling program!
40 hours multiplied by $8.50 per hour=$340 for your son
40 hours multiplied by $1.50 per hour= $60 for the wrestling program
We will be sending an email of events and shifts that need to be covered. If you and your family members are interested  in taking advantage of this fundraiser , please respond to Jim Chatwin at jdiamonddoor@live.com with the following details…
Name and date of event
Name(s) of workers
Name of wrestler you are working for
August 24th- 1st day of school
Make sure you sign up for Coach Jim Freeland “Sports Performance” class 8th period. On the first day of class, every athlete will be divided into his/her specific sport to train with their coach. All wrestlers will meet with Coach Bowdren in the wrestling room.
October 27th- Wrestling Parent Meeting and Team Dinner( 6 PM in the Cafeteria ).
