Prestige Academy of Wrestling (PAW) is a wrestling club designed for serious wrestlers. PAW is for the youth wrestlers to prepare for high school wrestling, who have goals to excel in high school and earn a college scholarship. This year, we are moving to a new and improved facility in South Jordan, 1098 West South Jordan Parkway, Suite 101. The name of the new facility is Ultimate Sports Performance and practices will be held for Herriman wrestlers in the basement sports facility. Practices will still be run by Coach Pat Garcia and his staff. They will be offering wrestling, conditioning, speed, agility, and strength training. The new facility has been designed to help wrestlers reach their optimum performance.
A beginning and an advanced group practice will be held separately on Tuesdays and Thursdays with strength, speed and agility training on Wednesdays. Coach Garcia and his staff are excited to work with serious athletes who are committed to excel to become the best in their sport.
This program is for youth wrestlers K-8th grade for the folkstyle season.
Two of Herriman High School’s wrestlers, Cole Clark and Jaron Jenson, were part of the Utah Cadet National Team that competed in Florida this month. They took 8th in Freestyle as a team, which is the highest Utah has ever placed in Freestyle at the Cadet Duals.
